Pay rate £9 - £11ph DOE & Inc Daily Bonus Structure After Training

We urgently require due to a significant increase in production slaughter operatives for dressing and preparation of the carcasses and edible offal for the sale and consumption in accordance with the company SOP’s.
• Reporting to the line supervisor where duties would include for the to perform the slaughter, dressing, and preparation of the carcasses and edible offal working at line speed to participate fully in the lean manufacturing process whilst embracing new methods of working.
• Complete assigned tasks in a timely manner to meet daily targets and ensure the product is of the highest standard, reporting any issues or defects to the line supervisor immediately.
• Become familiar with the daily production plan and work as part of a dedicated team to set the lines up, complete the safety checks, and ensuring the materials are ready to use whilst making sure you are following the hygiene and safety checks instructed.
• Complying with quality specifications and understanding yield values and maintaining a good knowledge and understanding of the company values.
• Able to comply and understand the company’s knife and health & Safety rules, including hygiene requirements, reporting any accidents, breakages, damages, or defaults of equipment immediately to line supervisor and only using equipment when safe to do so and ensuring any accidents or near misses are supported with assisting with investigations are paramount to safety within the business.
• Ensuing whilst working that minimizing waste is key and preparing carcasses and offal to the required standards and securely storing tools and equipment away safely when finished with them.
• Actively participate in all required company training as instructed by the supervisors and managers within the competency of the post holder.

To be considered for the role you must have the following skills or experience including
• Competence and significant experience in slaughter, butchery, or processing type of environment
• With knife skill preferred or previous experience working in a high-volume meat processing factory is beneficial
• Able to work in warm and chilled environments whilst a high level of manual handling, ability and awareness is required.
• Fluent English, able to communicate well in written or oral for with multinationals on all levels
• Flexibility to meet and exceed daily targets, with a strong work ethic, consistent and positive work attitude, and work either individually and as part of a team is key, whilst having a passion for food and being adaptable to change and work demands.
