Czesc, jak tam ?

I have found an interesting thesis which examines the history of the Polish community
in the UK after WW2, here is the link; http://www.angelfire.com/ok2/polish...

I don't know if it is of very much interest to the "younger" Poles that live here now, but I have an enormous interest, as I guess it is the reason I am "here".

It examines the political situation in the UK once WW2 was over, and goes a long way to explaining the motivations of both thoise Poles who returned to Poland, and those, jak moj tato, that chose to remain here.

"To Return To Poland Or Not To Return" - The Dilemma Facing The Polish Armed Forces At The End Of The Second World War

I hope that some of you guys take the time to read this "ancient history", and bear it in mind.
The streets that you tread here in Edinburgh,Glasgow etc etc , were once trod by many many Polacy, in a time past. And there are many pol polacy tutaj, jak ja, that still feel a strong and abiding feeling of "being Polish and proud of it" ,
