Are you a budding photographer living in North Lanarkshire? Would you like to share your work with thousands of people and win a fantastic prize? Well, this is your chance with the Discover North Lanarkshire photography competition.
Whether you choose to photograph a landscape, a building or an event, all we ask is that your image captures the spirit of North Lanarkshire.
Prizes
We've got some great prizes up for grabs: in the Adult category, your picture could win you a £100 Jessops voucher and a free session at the Summerlee Photomedia Studio. In the Under 16s category, you could win a Family Season ticket to M&Ds, Scotland's Theme Park.
The best entries will appear in North Lanarkshire News, our website, partner websites and other publications.
Internationally acclaimed landscape photographer Colin Prior and award-winning Herald and Evening Times photographer Martin Shields have kindly agreed to judge the competition.
This North Lanarkshire News competition is supported by Lanarkshire.com, M&Ds Scotland's Theme Park and the Summerlee Photomedia Studio.
Participants must live in North Lanarkshire and all entries must be in by 15 April 2011.

Terms and conditions
1.Entries must be sent to us by the closing date of Friday 15 April 2011. A maximum of three entries per person.
2.Entries will only be accepted from amateur photographers living in North Lanarkshire. Your full name, address and telephone number must accompany your entry, together with your age if under 16. Your details will only be used in connection with this competition - they will not be passed on to any other organisation.
3.Clearly state the category you are entering - Adult or Under 16s.
4.All photographs must have been taken in the last 12 months.
5.The person who enters the photo must hold its copyright and have the right to allow its publication.
6.Photos of children must be accompanied by written permission from a parent or guardian.
7.By sending a photo to us, you grant us permission to publish the photo - or any part of it - on the North Lanarkshire Council website, www.lanarkshire.com, www.visitlanarkshire.com or in any other related media we choose.
8.Photos should be taken within North Lanarkshire.
9.Photos published on the internet can be copied and used by other people. We will not accept any liability if your photo is copied and used elsewhere without your permission.
10.The judge's decision is final and the winner will be notified within two weeks of the closing date.
