We are currently recruiting dayshift poultry meat processing operatives in partnership with our client in Penicuik.
We are looking for long-term, permanent workers. The position does not require previous experience as training will be provided.
The hourly pay rate offered is £14.00
The shift pattern is:
Monday 8am to 4.30pm
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 8am to 3.30pm
Friday 8am to 2pm
Breaks: 2 x 30 minutes at 10.30am and 1.30pm
Fridays: 1 x 30 minutes at 10.30am only
Total of 37 hours per week at work. Paid for 35 hours per week (4 breaks deducted).
Our client is a respected institution dedicated to producing specialist research in the rural sector. This is a new plant and high standards of hygiene can be expected. You would work within a relatively small team.
Your English doesn't need to be perfect as long as you can read and communicate easily.

TASKS and DUTIES included in the role:
• Carrying out duties as directed by the Plant Manager/Team Leader.
• Aiding in the production of safe wholesome poultry meat.
• Adhering to good hygienic practices and defined operating procedures, e.g. HACCP, SOP’s, etc.
• Being involved in the processing of poultry, including cutting of carcases and packing of poultry meat.
