Warehouse Picker Livingston

Permanent Contract
£25,500 per annum
Shift times: 7am to 5pm, four days per week. No weekends.

Duties

- Set up, operate, and monitor manufacturing and picking equipment to meet production specifications and quality standards.
- Understanding & following defined Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Ensuring tasks are completed safely
- Working within a small manufacturing team
- Undertaking agreed training & development
- Active participation in problem solving to improve operational performance
- Conduct routine inspections of machinery and work areas to identify issues and ensure safety compliance.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the manufacturing area to promote safety and efficiency.
- Document production activities

The Manufacturing Operative is required to complete their allocated tasks and activities, as defined, to ensure key performance indicators (KPIs) in terms of Safety, Quality, Productivity, Efficiency and Delivery are consistently achieved.

Experience

- Basic mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot simple equipment issues.
- Hands-on experience using hand tools and power tools in a manufacturing setting.
- Familiarity with picking processes and procedures.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately and work effectively within a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

About you

- Completion of required processing documentation e.g. job sheets, end of shift sheets, forklift check sheets, floor washer, etc.
- Willingness to learn other operational skills and adapt to changes that increase levels of multiskilling and flexibility.
- Willingness to complete ad-hoc tasks as assigned to support the overall company performance.
- Safe & efficient Forklift Driving (Reach / Counterbalance / Electric).
- Excellent time management and attendance levels.
- Understanding of operational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)
- Positive, can-do attitude
- Strong attention to detail
