Opis

Our client is looking for a full time Accounts Assistant to join their team in their office in the city centre. This job is fully on site (5 days a week). If you are interested please email your CV to [email protected]. Emails without CV won't be considered.

Key Responsibilities
Daily & Weekly Tasks
• Record all financial transactions, including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and petty cash
• Compile weekly sales and cash tracker
• Maintain accurate ledgers and journals
• Process supplier invoices and manage accounts payable
• Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments
• Process payroll journals
Monthly & Quarterly Duties
• Assist with preparation of monthly financial reports for management
• Complete month end reconciliations and journals
• Assist with payroll preparation (if applicable)
• Prepare VAT returns and ensure compliance with HMRC requirements
• Support budgeting and cash flow forecasting
General Responsibilities
• Maintain organised digital and physical financial records
• Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures
• Identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly
• Provide ad hoc financial support to management as required
Skills & Experience
• Proven experience as an Accounts Assistant or similar accounting role
• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles and financial regulations
• Proficiency with accounting software and spreadsheets (e.g.Sage and Excel)
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Experience of payroll reporting would be useful
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
Working Hours & Structure
• Full time, typically 37.5–40 hours per week
• On site
• Reports to: Finance Manager
